Christopher Hureau was the Senior Illustrator and Designer at the Air Force Academy for 17 years. His credits include the design and illustrations for several Academy teaching materials including “Amphibians and Repitiles of the Air Force Academy”, “The Air Force Academy Natural History Guide” and bookcovers for the last five volumes of the Military History Symposium book series. He was the theme artist for the National Character and Leadership Symposium from 2001 to 2014 and painted the formal portrait of the Air Force Academy’s eighteenth Superintendent, Lt Gen Mike Gould. He also was the designer for the Air Force Academy display at the Colorado Springs Airport. His experience also includes cover illustrations for local tourism products, including the “Pikes Peak by Rail”, “Georgetown Loop” videos and the “Child’s Colorado” recording. His works can be seen at several Colorado venues and local art shows.
